EP67 – Non-Patronising Advice for Getting Better At Your Job

Author Jon Quinton 2 min read time

Following on from last week when we discussed ways to look after your mental wellbeing in the workplace, this week we are talking about how to make sure you are constantly learning and improving in your role.

I’m joined by Abi who does an amazing job of running our wonderful Paid Social team, to chat through her thoughts and experiences on the subject of self-improvement.

We’re well aware that a topic such as this can be awash with vague advice, buzzwords and tips on how to manifest your success. Of course that’s completely fine if those approaches are your bag, but we tried our best to focus instead on practical lessons learnt from growing our teams here at Overdrive.

Career development, training and personal progress are things we take extremely seriously. A twenty minute episode really isn’t enough to cover everything, but I hope it provides some useful food for thought and also a flavour of how we approach it.

If you listen to this and feel like you want to be part of our team then the good news is we’re hiring. All of our open roles can be seen here, and just drop us an email if you want to talk through any of them.

Hope you enjoy this one and don’t forget to subscribe for more!
