EP70 – Paid Social, A New Starters Perspective

Author Jon Quinton 2 min read time

Welcome to episode 70!

This week we are addressing one of the issues I think we face as an industry; if you have a search around for information on how to approach paid social, you’ll be met with thousands of resources detailing the latest and greatest fancy strategies you can use.

That’s all great stuff of course, but rarely do we hear from the frontline team members that keep the day to day running, or even those who are starting their journey in paid social.

For this episode we’re fixing this and speaking to one of our latest recruits, Halli Biggs who was brave enough to join the podcast to talk through her experiences.

With an extensive background in video editing, Halli certainly wasn’t new to working in media but was new to Facebook Ads. I wanted to chat with Halli to share some of the key learnings from getting started, but also get a view from someone fresh in the field.

Within the episode we talk through what it’s like to learn Facebook Ads, joining the ranks of a paid media agency, and also some advice for other people in a similar situation. Starting out in a new job is always going to be a daunting task, but hearing from people in the same boat always helps.

The hope is that this episode is useful for anyone else who is new to Facebook Ads or is potentially looking to get started.

A big thanks to Halli for joining and sharing her experiences!
