Author Jon Quinton 2 min read time

In this week’s episode I’m joined by yet another brilliant guest and good friend of mine, Phil Ingram

Phil started working in sales in the late 80s and is now CEO of a gaming company in Hong Kong. So, how has marketing changed over that time?

Take a listen to the episode to find out!

On a lot of our episodes we talk about the latest and greatest tactics you can use to improve the performance of your campaigns. That’s all great stuff, but sometimes it’s also extremely useful to take a look back at how the discipline of marketing has developed over time.

I talk to Phil about changes in the day to day, the impact of technology, working in different markets and sectors and also some of the constants that have carried through his career. This really was a genuinely brilliant chat with so many interesting points along the way!

One of the other subjects we touch on is the relationship between sales and marketing. Phil started his career in sales and then transitioned into marketing, so I wanted to find out how useful that was as a grounding and what elements carried over into marketing.

Thanks so much Phil for taking the time to chat.

Enjoy!
